Training Reminder from Team Jauch

Team Jauch (Jeff and Chelsea)As Chelsea and I are training for our biggest race (Half Iron) we’ve attempted. The work is getting hard, and painful on my body, but worth it to keep Chelsea happy and her seizures under control. A couple weeks ago, on a Saturday we rode 40 miles and that Sunday we did a big run in the heat! As we keep ramping up our miles, we also need to take time to recover properly. My body is reminding me of that, and I thought I would remind everyone else, that you only improve when you let your body recover before you rip it up again. Don’t be afraid to rest once a week, especially when the heat starts to cook us like this past Sunday. Don’t get frustrated in the heat, slow down and let your body acclimate.  It will not happen in a day, but you will be amazed at what your body is capable of. Remember to train smart and hope to see you all June 10th.
