WHO IS GRAND RAPIDS TRIATHLON?
We are a group of triathletes who are passionate about encouraging our community to be healthy. We ourselves have progressed in the sport of triathlons and as triathlon participation continues to hit an all-time high across the country, we felt it was time to bring a USAT Sanctioned Sprint, Olympic and Half to Ada, MI. There are no other events of this caliber in the area. We feel this event will not only bring top athletes from across the country it will also encourage the beginner athlete to participate by providing training classes and mentors.

WHAT IS GRAND RAPIDS TRIATHLON?
The Grand Rapids Triathlon is known for it’s flat, fast course. It’s ideal for the new and experienced triathlete alike. It was also the location of the 2014 USAT Long Course National Championships. With a beautiful swim in the lake-like Thornapple River with virtually no current, to a flat country-road bike course then on to the scenic, shaded run course with loads of local support. This race offers several free clinics leading up to the event, a pre-race swim and pre-ride at the race site the week before along with an amazing expo. It’s the largest triathlon in Michigan and offers a Sprint, Olympic and Half Iron, all with separate transition areas to give you a small race feel. Come experience a world class event in Grand Rapids, MI on June 12, 2016.
