We will be running trolley’s free of charge all day on race day. Please park in the designated areas and ride to the start line. Trolley’s will stop by every 10 minutes.
Here is a map for you to find the best places on the course to see your athlete. Also, be sure to log onto our website on race day to results posted live to determine each time your athlete has crossed a mat on the course. Spectator Information (pdf)
If you can’t be there on race day, be sure to watch our LIVE FEED (button on the home page) of the finish line.
FOOD: Lions Baseball Field located on Thornapple River Drive (1/4 mile down the run course) will be open on race day for spectators to purchase food. This is also a great location to watch your athlete run by.
We are holding the annual Grand Rapids Triathlon on Sunday June 8, 2014. Roads in your area will be closed for this event. Both Thornapple River Drive and Buttrick Ave will be closed. Thornapple River Drive will be closed from 4am to 8pm. Buttrick Ave will be closed from June 7th at 6pm till June 8th at 6pm (see map on reverse side). Residents that live on the closed roads will have access on the roads. You may have to go around some barricades and be prepared to show your ID. In case you are planning a graduation party, birthday, etc., please let me know ASAP and I will work with you and the Sheriff Department on access for your guests. Churches will be open but you may need to take a detour. There will be delays and traffic will be re-routed.
Both Fire Trucks and Ambulances have been notified and have access thru the road closures.
